CIRPLEX – Circular Plastics Experience Summit
The CIRPLEX (Circular Plastics Experience Summit) is a novel combination of congress and trade fair. Sustainable and circular plastics solutions in the Alps-Adriatic region are presented in one location. This unique space connects start-ups with industry leaders. CIRPLEX is the hotspot for decision-makers in the plastics industry from Austria, the Alps-Adriatic region, southern Germany and central and south-eastern Europe.
The DeremCo Standardization Workshop, scheduled for May 14th from 9:30 to 12:00, will focus on the role of standardization in enabling a circular economy for fiber-reinforced plastics (FRPs), particularly in support of the DeremCo project. This project aims to promote the reuse and recycling of composite materials in high-value applications across various European industries.
The workshop features presentations by experts from DeremCo, the European Commission (DG GROW and EISMEA), and related projects such as RISERS, as well as industry stakeholders and standardization bodies. Topics include the strategic importance of standardization, synergies between EU programs, and ongoing initiatives in the composite sector. The event will conclude with a panel discussion to explore collaboration opportunities and next steps for aligning standardization efforts with circular economy goals.
